What Nigerian engineers are shipping this week
Platform engineering, cloud cost, and applied AI from people building in production.
Platform
Terraform state, four teams, one repository
Splitting a monolithic state file without a maintenance window, and the two mistakes that cost us a weekend.
Applied AI
An LLM gateway that pays for itself
Routing, caching and per-team budgets in front of three model providers, built in a fortnight, mostly with things we already ran.
Incident
The DNS outage that taught us to read our own runbooks
Ninety minutes of partial failure, a runbook that referenced a decommissioned bastion, and what we changed the week after.
Careers
What Nigerian SRE interviews actually ask in 2026
Twenty-two hiring managers, eleven cities, one uncomfortable pattern about take-home exercises.
